Straight from the New York City club scene and transplanted into the Valley of the Sun, Tanya Thillét (pronounced: tee-yay) is on the prowl again with the ELIXIR Band. This petite young woman with the mischievous smile packs a voice and an energy much bigger than her frame seems to allow. Maybe that s why Tanya turns heads.Tanya Thillét started out as a shy girl, singing only when  caught in private until the day she decided to throw caution to the wind and take a chance on performing with live bands. She put quite a dent in the NYC scene and it wasn t long before her vocals, along with her charismatic stage show, became regularly requested. Her style is a blend of old school Soul with a touch of classic Rock, covering anything from Chaka Khan to Parliament/Funkadelic to Led Zeppelin. Tanya Thillét has added a unique flavor to the ELIXIR Band performances as well as several studio recordings, occasionally treating her audience to a few of her own lyrical  scribblings . Many well-known venues in NYC have experienced Tanya's seemingly unlimited supply of energy including House of Blues in Vegas and Boston, BB KINGS and S.O.B.'s in New York City. Her fearless stage presence has also brought opportunies to open for heavy-hitting major acts like Living Colour. No matter where or when she's performing, Tanya Thillét delivers all that any true live music appreciator could want and then some. Tanya brings the noise and the funk with an attitude all her own. So please show your love for Tanya and welcome her to the Valley.</p> <p><strong><img src="images/eric.jpg" alt="Eric" width="150" height="100" /><span class="style1"> Eric Gouveia</span></strong><span class="style1"> - Lead Vocals/Percussion</span></p> <p>Versatile, powerful and soulful, Eric's vocal stylings are the centerpiece of Elixir&rsquo;s sound.&nbsp; Eric's extensive singing experiences have included work with local artists such as Khani Cole, Niteflite, Eddie Benitez and others.&nbsp; Eric has also sung background for Kenny Loggins and sang for jazz legend Nancy Wilson as the featured artist in a special event held at her home.</p> <p><strong><img src="images/paul.jpg" alt="Frank" width="100" height="150" /><span class="style1"> Paul Cruize</span></strong><span class="style1"> - Guitar/Vocals</span></p> <p>Now a proud Arizona transplant, originally from Detroit, Paul spent his music career performing with many great artists and traveling the world with bands ranging from Funk and R&B, to Fusion and Heavy Metal. His love , appreciation and skill in several musical genres lead him into the music production field where he lent his talents for several years being an incredible guitarist and an accomplished keyboardist and singer, he uses his instruments and voice to weave a mesmerizing musical soundscape that leaves the experienced grappling for descriptive terms.</p> --> <p><strong><img src="images/eqpic3.jpg" alt="Bo" width="100" height="150" /><span class="style1"> Bo Butler</span></strong><span class="style1"> - Bass</span></p> <p>Bass is the foundation of R&amp;B, and Elixir's grooves are rock solid thanks to Bo Butler.&nbsp; Bo's energetic style, expertly combining elements of jazz and funk, has captivated audiences across the country.&nbsp; He was a member of the Quad Cities area group Elixir, winner of the International Blues Challenge competition in 2001.&nbsp; They were featured performers at concerts along with Zapp, Jermaine Jackson and other well-known artists.&nbsp; Bo has worked with numerous local bands, including the Chuck Hall Band, Niteflite, Lady J, Sista Blue, George Bowman and others.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><img src="images/greg.jpg" alt="JB" width="100" height="150" /><span class="style1"> Anzio Diamond aka "Greg Mullins"</span></strong><span class="style1"> - Drums, Lead/Background Vocals</span></p> <p>Born and raised in the ATL. Anzio Played drums in his teenage years at Washington High School, A premier high school on the southeast side of Atlanta. It was there when Anzio learned his rhythms. He then attended Clark College, which has a nationally acclaimed music program. In the fall of 1974, during a jazz performance with Clark College, Anzio was given an opportunity to tour the world and he has never looked back. Nine European Tours, 2 Caribbean tours, 2 Mediterranean tours, 1 south American tour, 1 southeast Asia Tour and 1 Australian tour, Anzio performed for The Tams, The Drifters, Johnnie Taylor, Teddy Pendergrass, Joe Simon, Clarence Carter, Betty Wright, Denise LaSalle, The SOS Band and Brick. You can also hear Anzio s chops on over 100 albums. His Discography includes the Soul Stirs, Archie Bell and the Drells as well as a studio drummer for Meltone Records and Solar Records. Quite the Resume!</p> <p><strong><img src="images/" alt="Steve" width="100" height="150" /><span class="style1"> Steve Simbari</span></strong><span class="style1"> - Guitar, Lead/Background Vocals</span></p> <p>Born in Coronado, Ca, Steve was raised in Tucson. He played throughout the United States to include Texas, Chicago, Oklahoma, and Louisiana for 10 years. He played in California and Tucson off and on for several years. Once Steve finally settled in Tucson for good, he has continually played Blues, Jazz, Classic Rock and Rhythm & Blues at some of Tucson s most legendary Clubs and Public Festival Events. He has recently released his debut acoustic CD entitled  Steve Morningwood Far Away" and is the host of the acoustic open mic night at the Hog Pit restaurant every Thursday night.
